VAT
VAT identification number pursuant to § 27a of the German Value Added Tax Act (Umsatzsteuergesetz): DE340782332
All prices shown on this website are total prices: value added tax is contained in them where it is owed, never added on top at checkout. Which rate was applied to your own purchase, and how much of the price it accounts for, is stated on the invoice for that purchase.
For subscriptions taken out through our checkout, Stripe acts as merchant of record: Stripe determines, collects and remits the value added tax, GST or sales tax applicable in your own place of residence, and issues your invoice and receipt. The VAT identification number above relates to the provider’s own tax affairs, including subscriptions concluded before this changeover, for which German VAT at the standard rate of 19% was contained in the price for customers in Germany and for consumers elsewhere in the European Union, and no German VAT arose for customers outside the European Union.
About this service
GTO Academy is a subscription-based learning resource for poker strategy (game-theory optimal play), with free parts that can be used without an account (information pages including a glossary, a public range preview, a limited number of free sample hands, and a solver that runs in your own browser for a limited number of hands). It is a training tool only: it does not offer real-money play and does not accept any stakes or wagers. It does not constitute gambling within the meaning of § 3 of the German Interstate Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021).
The Service itself is provided by the provider named above. Payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe, Inc., 354 Oyster Point Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080, USA / Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. for EU customers), which for subscriptions taken out through our checkout acts as merchant of record: Stripe takes the payment, is responsible for the applicable sales taxes, issues the invoice and receipt, and handles refunds and payment disputes. Your subscription therefore also appears in your own Stripe account at link.com, where you can cancel it and change your payment method. The plans and prices shown at checkout apply; you can cancel at any time there or via the customer portal linked in the app.
This service is intended for an adult audience (18+). Studying GTO strategy does not guarantee winnings. Gambling can be addictive; please act responsibly. Help and information are available at begambleaware.org and — for visitors in Germany — from the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) at check-dein-spiel.de (free helpline: 0800 1 37 27 00).
