About these PLO charts
Pot-Limit Omaha deals four hole cards and lets you use exactly two of them, with exactly three from the board — so a hand is judged by how its four cards combine, and two hands with the same high cards can be worlds apart. A class label reads strongest-rank-first with its suit pattern: AAKQ.ds is aces and kings double-suited (two flush directions), the same ranks .rb are rainbow (none). Double-suited plays much wider than rainbow at the same ranks — that suffix is not decoration, it is most of the hand.
Because 270,725 four-card hands cannot fold into a 13×13 grid, the chart is a filterable list: narrow it by shape (rundowns, pairs, two pair), by suit pattern, or search it directly.

What does ds / ss / rb mean in a PLO chart?
The suit pattern of the four cards. ds (double-suited) means two cards in each of two suits — two flushes to make, the premium shape. ss (single-suited) is one flush direction. rb (rainbow) means no two cards share a suit. At the same ranks, ds plays far wider than rb.
Why is there no grid like the hold’em charts?
A 13×13 matrix works because hold’em has 169 two-card hand classes. Omaha has four-card hands — 270,725 distinct combos, more than five thousand classes — and the identity of which cards share suits cannot be drawn as one cell. A filterable list keeps every class visible instead of hiding them behind approximations.
Are PLO preflop charts different from hold’em charts?
Structurally yes: PLO equities run much closer together, so positions matter somewhat less and playing fit-or-fold after the flop matters more. Preflop, premium hands (big pairs double-suited, rundowns with aces) are rarer than their hold’em equivalents because there are far more ways to miss — which is why disciplined hand selection is the core PLO skill.
Which PLO chart should I learn first?
Single-raised pots: button opens and big blind defence at 100bb cash. Most PLO money changes hands there, and the habit the charts build — playing hands that make the nuts, folding hands that make second-best — is the one that leaks cost the most.
